Broken bike …
Back to work again, and its Halloween everything seems to be breaking. First my bike, then my laptop crashed so I decided to touch as little as possible. Just working away trying not to touch any additional electonic devices.
Got back, Dave and I tried to fix the bike, but its being a right pain, wont turn over, starter motor seems fine, going to test the spark plugs tomorrow, hoping for the best.

Had a damn good curry tonight at Bombay in West Bridgeford, worth a visit! Another good eating place as suggested by Mr Panter.
Shiny Bikes
Decided to ride over to Shropshire in the night for two hours, rather interesting trip, very dark down the country roads hehe.
Had a great day over at the bike show in Birmingham today, loads of ideas on what the next bike should be, here is one possibility: -

Pics of it all will hopefully be on the gallery soon, if anyone is into the bikes / girls hehe.
New Galleries
Work kicked ass today, lots of things going on so it was interesting, investigating strange database happenings and working on a new shiny reporting python script.
Painstakingly went through quite a few old pics and added them to my new, Old Skool gallery too, thanks to some pics sent over by Mr Searle, cheers for that chap and some from my dusty archives.
Just to scare people
Just to scare a certain person thought I would include fake maria hehe

3 Old friends
Back to work again, working on the good old planning system again, all going ok apart from scary mysql corruptions in the morning
Luckily day was cheered up a bit by getting back in contact with three old friends. First I decided to send a mail to an old friend in Germany, she got back in contact really quick, loads changed there
Moments later my friend Paul who I haven't seen in about a year or so came online had a decent chat about the good ole days of living in Germany
.
Finally my friend from school days, Kally got in contact, to be honest was getting worried she was still alive after she stopped texting about 8 months ago.
Chilled weekend
After coming back from Rome, have been having a very chilled out weekend, watching movies and seeing the folks. Just watched a brilliant movie last night called Metropolis, a re-mastered version of the 1928 german film. I would definately recommend it, though it starts a little slow its incredible, especially when you start to realise that nearly every modern sci-fi films seems to based on it.

The main character from metropolis maria. Though hopefully this picture wont scare Chika too much hehe.
Back from Rome
Had a great time in Rome, saw all the usual tourist spots including; the colosseum, the vatican, the sistine chapel, the pantheon and the trevi fountain. Found Rome to be a very interesting place for a walk through all the little back streets even in the heavy rain.
I would say in general its best to avoid all the main streets as they are just so polluted its crazy. Never rely on map24 for your hotels location either because it decided our hotel was the ministry of defence.
Food was good there in general, not as good as when in Poland but still nice. The only downside is that the people are generally not all that friendly / quite stropy.
Well, got lots of nice pictures of Rome in general on my pictures site, just waiting to add some more from Jon with me in them.
Last day before the holidays…
Yay, last day at work before my holiday begins. Had a small code rollout today for a rather critical system, but all in all a good friday at EMPICS. Managed to get some riding done too, whisking over to Sandiacre and chilling with my friends Phil and Colin.
Watched Stripes, pretty old now (same age as me!), still as cheesy as ever, and this was some kind of super long uncut version that Colin had found, alot more random plot changes / nudity than I remember.
When in Rome…
My new blog, first posting and its all running on my good old P3 server here at home.
Managed to book my hotel for Rome finally last night, after trying quite a few places that all seemed to be fully booked.
If anyone has any good tips for evening places to go in Rome please leave a comment, would be most welcome.
Incase people haven't heard from me in ages, here is my news in summary; working as a programmer at EMPICS in Nottingam still (if you knew already) which is now a part of the press association. Doing some nice shiny things with a plethora of languages
Also, have a pre-written (how lazy am I) gallery of my holidays and things like that here
